Marjorie T. Fuqua, 94

 

 Marjorie T. Fuqua, 94, of Owensboro passed away December 6, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Fuqua was born March 25, 1923 in McLean County to the late James and Jesse VanHorn Thompson. Marjorie enjoyed attending horse shows with her husband and was a member of the Owensboro Saddle Horse Association. She was also quite an entrepreneur as owner of the Bit and Bridle Tack Shop and as a hairdresser and owner of Suburban Salon.

 Mrs. Fuqua is also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Marion A. Fuqua, in 2014; brother, J.T. Thompson; sister, Lucy Adcock; and great grandson, Travis McLimore.

 She is survived by her daughters, Betty McLimore (Charlie Bellew) of Owensboro and Sheree Fuqua (Matthew Williams) of Powderly; son, John Fuqua (Julie) of Springfield, Tennessee; granddaughters, Janet Feldpausch (Steve), Amelia Rose Fuqua; grandsons, Dave McLimore and Jim McLimore (Carol); great grandchildren, Bethany Shaw, Nathan McLimore, Phillip McLimore, Clint McLimore, Travis McLimore, Lexie Pagan (Neal), Breanna Feldpausch; eleven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 Services were December 8 at Glenn Funeral Home Crematory. Burial will followed at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to The Salvation Army or The Humane Society.
